What is Tapping?
When your head knows one thing, but your body hasn't quite got the memo.
You know you’re overthinking it.
You know you should let it go.
You know that person is probably not worth another three hours of analysis.
And yet... there you are. Still down the rabbit hole.
So before you fire off something you might regret, this is where Tapping comes in.
EFT Tapping combines elements of psychology with acupressure. You gently tap with your fingertips on a sequence of points on your face and upper body while talking through what’s actually going on.
It can feel a bit weird at first, but it’s incredibly simple, practical and one of my favourite ways to regulate when your thoughts and emotions have taken over the building.
I think of it as emotional first aid.
You don't have to meditate. Clear your mind. Think positively. Or pretend everything is fabulous.
We start exactly where you are.
Once you know the points, you've got a tool you can use almost anywhere — in the car, at your desk, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, before a difficult conversation or after one.
Why I love it?
Because sometimes knowing better doesn't make you feel better.
You can understand the pattern. Know exactly why you're doing it. Talk about it for hours.
And still do it.
That's what I love about bringing Tarot and Tapping together.
Tarot can get us to the “Ohhh... there it is” moment surprisingly quickly. But I don't want to point at something in the cards and send you home with:
“Well... good luck with that.”
That's where Tapping comes in.
There’s space to talk, unpack what's happened and be heard — but then we get curious about what's happening underneath it. What are you feeling? What's keeping you hooked? What happens when you imagine doing something differently?
And then we work with that.
The session is active. I'll guide you, encourage you and help you regulate, but you need to be willing to get involved.
Because ultimately, the cards don't create the change.
You do.
A game changer?
People behave in ways we can't control. Relationships fail. Work is hard. Plans go sideways.
And sometimes the life we thought we'd have isn't happening in the way — or the timeframe — we imagined.
We get triggered, overwhelmed, stuck in our heads and occasionally want to send texts we absolutely should not send.
You can't control all of that.
But you can learn how to work with your response to it.
That's what I love about Tapping. It's simple, practical and there when you actually need it.
No perfection needed.
Just you, your fingers and a few minutes.
